ChargEV was founded to solve a problem most Melbourne EV owners run into within weeks of buying their car: getting straight, honest advice about home charging. Quotes range from $1,500 to $6,000 for what should be a similar job. Recommendations contradict each other. Most installers don't take the time to look at your switchboard, your EV, and your driving patterns together.
We exist to fix that. Our mission is to take the guesswork out of home EV charging — match the right charger to your home, install it safely under Australian Standards, and stay accountable for the work after installation.

Certificate of Electrical Safety
Every installation is finished with a Certificate of Electrical Safety, lodged with Energy Safe Victoria as required by law. You get a copy for your records — proof the work was done by a licensed contractor and meets AS/NZS 3000.

Steven runs ChargEV from Blackburn South. After watching too many Melbourne EV owners get sold the wrong charger for their home, he started ChargEV to bring straight advice and honest pricing to the residential market.
Aidan is the licensed A-grade electrician behind every ChargEV installation. Operating under his own ABN as AJD Electrical, he carries his own liability and workers' compensation insurance, adding an extra layer of protection for every customer.
